MALU PPE

MALU PPE - Reusable Medical PPE Made In Hawaii

In the early part of 2020, Hawaiʻi experienced a severe shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by healthcare workers and first responders battling the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only was PPE scarce during a time of great need, but the negative effects attributed to the production and disposal of single-use medical equipment are only now being fully realized.

In response to this growing dilemma, founder Jalene Kanani of NOHO HOME by Jalene Kanani established MALU PPE with the intention of producing quality medical grade PPE, and to strengthen supply chain security in Hawaiʻi to better service its Healthcare needs.

MALU PPE strives to provide highly-customizable and sustainable alternatives that challenge the outdated single-use PPE model, while promoting locally-sourced manufacturing and high-performance products that are also reusable.

Through the rich cultural influences and natural beauty of our Hawaiian home, MALU PPE aims to share island narratives through inspired designs and moʻolelo (stories) rooted in intention and cultural authenticity.
